So here the second part to the blog with the next 4 lessons I learnt during my injury. 

Lesson 5 Emotions Come In Waves 

All emotions are healthy. All emotions need a healthy outlet and release and should not be bottled upโ€ฆ. 

Breathing through it is important 

Allowing it to flow through us is important The learning is in the Feelingโ€ฆ. ๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’“ 

Lesson 6 Quiet Reflection and Gratitude 

This really is an opportunity for gratitude 

I'm grateful for the way in which my body moves and supports me

I'm grateful that it was a ligament and muscle strain

I'm grateful that I can walk and 

That I can work and serve my clients whilst I heal and recover  I'm so grateful for my healingI'm so grateful for how resilient my body is ๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’“ 

Lesson 7: The Goldilocks Effect and Pacing 

How much is too much and what is just right or the right amount of movement

Thank you, body for all you teach me on a daily basis ๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’“

So often we want to rush through things to get out the other end, but the learning is in the journey, it's in the experience, itโ€™s in that inner struggle we all go throughโ€ฆโ€ฆ

This is invaluable and helps us grow to be the powerful human beings we are destined to be. 

Itโ€™s through sharing this struggle with others, that they find empowering to champion them to keep going. 

So, please allow this to unfoldโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’“ 

Lesson 8: Patience, Self-compassion and Self-love  

My ankle: Whilst minimised movement feels frustrating at times because I want to do more right now, this reminds me of the time when I injured my back and I had limited movement and was in constant pain for 6 months. 

And this puts it all into perspective. I draw on that experience of patience, self-compassion and self-love right now

These experiences now and in the past help me be more compassionate, understanding and patience with my clients as a neurophysio 

Therefore, this is all a beautiful gift ๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’“ 

I know that to some, this may be minor compared to the challengesโ€™ others have faced especially my clients. 

But the lessons and the messages remain the same...... and that is why I am drawn to share this with you.
