There are 2 sides to looking at an injury and there is always something to learn about ourselves.
Whilst inconvenient, your injury is an opportunity to get to know your body better on a deeper level.
I mean...
The depth of your inner strength to champion for what you want against then odds
Your dedication and discipline tirelessly working on your body to make it more flexible and the strongest it's been
Your unfolding deepening awareness of how your brain and body communicate and work together
That your body is miraculous and that you are a gift and that you are truly grateful for this beautiful body you call home in this lifetime
Your relationship with yourself is one of the most important relationships you need to cultivate. I mean learn to love yourself and your body in spite of your impairments and in turn shows others that loving yourself is a natural and normal daily thing
Accept that whilst you have an impairment and have difficulty using your arm or leg, your body can change and get stronger again and this is exciting.
The possibility of change
The possibility of progress is what is so exciting
The person you see in the mirror is only one version of you and only you can decide if you give in or if you work to change things and revive your body and reclaim your mobility, freedom of movement, independence and your LIFE.
Know what is really important to you and restructure your life in line with what you value most.
Test your beliefs of how miraculous you believe your brain and body to be or test your beliefs of how
You can change your thoughts
You are more powerful than you believe
You have choice
You hold the power to make the decision
What are you choosing for yourself now?
Love and Blessings
