If you believe you can't improve your mobility further and your walking is as good as it gets.... Then you are right it won't!

But if you believe that inspite of your mobility impairments, you are going to keep listening to that voice inside you that your walking can continue to improve and you are willing to go the distance and do the work, then you are also right!

So the choice is yours and yours alone

Has your mobility reached its peak?

I have seen so many amazing clients over the years some who thought they couldn't improve and with the right help and guidance, they exceeded their own mobility goals and the mobility levels that consultants thought they could.

Here is the true....

If you have an injury or impairment that you are recovering from, like an incomplete spinal cord injury, a stroke, head injury, multiple sclerosis, then no one can tell you what you can and can't achieve for yourself apart from you.

Yes, that's right, you read correctly I said You!

Why, because it's about what you choose to believe for yourself.  But sometimes it shifts to what we see to be possible and what is proven to be possible.

Dr Terry Wahls proved this amongst other individuals as well. As someone with a progressive neurological condition like Multiple sclerosis, she had an unwavering belief in herself and did everything to work towards that goal, including changing her diet and nutrition to support her body along with the right exercises.

I am not saying this to rub your nose in something. I am also not saying that if you are a wheelchair user with a complete spinal cord injury, that by believing in yourself, it will help you be able to not need your wheelchair.

I was taught, find examples of the opposite of your belief to weaken the belief. So here is an example to show you that as someone with Multiple Sclerosis, who needed to use a powered wheelchair to move around and work on a daily basis, was able to reverse her presentation and 9 months later she was no longer a wheelchair user and was able to cycle outdoors on a bike again.

Don't let your thinking that you can't improve hold you back from what you can achieve

The most important question you have to ask yourself is: "Do you believe you can continue to improve your mobility moving forward?"

If you believe you can continue to improve and you would like help and support to navigate how to achieve your goal, then reach out and get in touch to find out how we can work together

Love and Blessings
