We are surrounded by so much beauty and wonder that sometimes we miss when we are busy. I am so grateful that I am surrounded by such beauty every day.

I feel like every day on my walks, I'm witnessing new growth, new beginnings and the unfolding of what is yet to come. This is one of my favourite seasons.

Watching everything grow, bloom and change. It's like I'm seeing it all again for the first time every day!

A fresh look, a new perspective.

We have a unique to pause, reflection, and we have space and time to decide what is working and what is no longer working.

We get to look at things with fresh eyes with a new perspective. It's a time for change, growth and rebirth.... For the new to unfold

What magic!!! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and whilst it has been scary, and sad reading what is going on for so many out there. My hearts go out to people who have lost loved ones, who were not able to say goodbye or be by their side in their final moments, who have not been able to bury and give their loved ones the send-off they deserve.

In the same breath, I'm so grateful that everyone I know and love is all healthy and safe. This really is a time of paradox and we are going to see, feel and be tested with extremes. There have been times when I feel into what's going on around, and I feel the roller-coaster of emotions that everyone is also having.

Life is full of paradoxes, the....

  1. Know versus unknown
  2. Forcing versus Allowing
  3. Impatience versus Patience
  4. Control versus Independence
  5. Restriction versus FreedomSickness versus Being Healthy Death versus Rebirth or Birth
  6. Anxiety versus Calm or Relief
  7. Frustrated or Irritated versus Grateful
  8. Highs versus Lows
  9. Negative versus Positive
  10. Fear versus Love
  11. Separation versus Connection
  12. Absent versus Present
  13. Contraction versus Expansion
  14. Pausing versus Action
  15. Rest versus Movement

None of these are wrong. In fact, it's a natural and normal part of life to cycle in and out of these opposites.

It's important to embrace and express our emotions in a healthy way and not suppress them in our body.

Believe me, I know what's it's like to suppress or not express emotions. I can recall many moments, where I let situations get the better of me. And this was not healthy. Being allowed to feel and own your emotions (all of it, is important and very normal)

I remember being on safari in South Africa and one night, we came across a very angry elephant. Watching her express her anger, frustrated, disappointment, sadness and not being control or stopped was a beautiful thing.

It has taken patience, acceptance of where I am in a moment, feeling what I feel, recognising the positive /negative emotional cycle and learning and implementing strategies that work for me to allow it to move through me with ease and grace.

I've learnt that it's not about making part of us wrong. It's about leaning in and getting curious, about seeing where am I coming unstuck, about what triggers are coming up to be resolved and how can I help myself to come back into balance for me in the shortest time possible without compromising the lessons or learning! This is different for each of us, right!

What I've learnt is the more I grow and expand, the more aware I am in every moment of how my thoughts and beliefs, and mental patterns are influencing situations, the easier I find it to bounce back and sit in more uplifting emotions that are supportive to me.

Every day since lockdown, I have been waking up and thinking:

  1. How can I seize this magical day?
  2. How can I make more of an impact and support my clients and the community of incredible people I work with on a daily basis?
  3. How can I use this time to work towards my work and personal goals and everything I had put on hold or has had to take the backseat because my previous normal very life has gotten in the way? ...
  4. How can I stay positive, calm and upbeat and focus on helping and supporting those around me?
  5. How can I show up and support my family in my unique way?
  6. How can I stay fully charged and healthy to help and support?

So remember, there is no wrong or right answer here. Paradoxes are normal, but the hack is to notice where we are and how quickly we bounce back

So my question for you is: "What are you choosing to focus on daily?  What side of the paradox scale are you spending most of your time daily?"

Love and Blessing
