It is easy not to focus on where you want to be when things around you are slowing down

But when you keep putting things on hold, time passes and nothing changes  It is so easy to get into a rut

But there is nothing like that feeling when you want to kick yourself

Because you feel like you have not moved any closer to your goal

Your body still feels heavy and hard to move

Your body struggles to keep up with the demands your brain or that vice in your head that says Come on!

You have to keep going, but you have nothing in your energy tank and walking feels like you legs are moving your legs through treacle

But the best way to make sure you achieve what you want 3 or 6 months from now is to work on your goals daily and chip away at them slowly so they don't feel insurmountable

It is important to allow yourself to dream of where you see yourself and what you see yourself doing in the summer

It is important to set big goals

Is it to walk confidently outdoors without a walking stick?

Is it to go on an adventure holiday with your family and be able to keep up with everyone?

Is it to be able to comfortably walk your kids to and from school safely without falling or worrying about falling?

But remember a goal without a plan is just a wish

So it is important to have a plan in place that will lay out your mobility plan with a detailed exercise plan at each stage of your rehab

Help you stay on track

Keep you accountable to your big mobility goals

Support you when you get stuck

Encourage you to celebrate your progress at every step of the journey

Help you gain insight into your body and brain and how they work together and what you can do to encourage a stronger connection with your body and brain

It is time to say Y-E-S to yourself and your body

It is time to put your body F-I-R-S-T for a change
