There is so much going on around that,

Physical businesses and clinics have closed,

We are in lockdown and in our own spaces,

So much has been put on hold,

It’s so hard to plan with the uncertainty of everything happening right now.

But one thing we know for certain is that this will pass,

Lockdown will be lifted,

We will be going back to work and everyday life,

But things, as we know it, have changed,

How can it not with everything that has gone on around us?

But, if you are like me and someone who wants to, 

  1. focus on the things that can be changed and controlled by you right now,
  2. transition through lockdown with grace, embrace the change that has been sprung upon us, 
  3. breathe through the fear and still go on and try new things,
  4. continue to work on progressing forward in areas of your life that you can influence in spite of lockdown and everything that is fearful. 

We are being called to: 

  1. Embrace change however uncomfortable it may be,
  2. Do things differently even though we may not always feel ready for it, Review old things,
  3. Let go of what is no longer working, 
  4. Try new things however different they may be because the old ways of doing things just won’t cut it right now.   

Trying zoom was one of the things that some of my clients trialled, even though when before they tried it and because this was not the way physio was delivered before, they couldn't all see how this was going to work. But their belief in themselves and their goals was more important and this, did not hold them back. It has been incredible to witness 

  1. the amazing changes each client has made
  2. their willingness to figure out and trial a new way of doing physio

In the NHS, they have found zoom and online support so effective that this will be part of the new way moving forward after lockdown. I also believe that this will allow more support for clients who cannot travel to therapy due to being unwell or living too far. This opens up options that no one saw before. 

So the question I have for you today is: "What new things have you embraced right now or what changes have you or are you implementing during this time for yourself?
